The FIS Ski European Cup race at Kronplatz of the 17th January, will be a giant slalom for its 2019 edition.
The men will go for a giant slalom on the World Cup slope ERTA, in San Vigilio di M., at the start.
The FIS race director Peter Gerdol has made a great effort to resume this important European Cup race in the season planning and was supported by the local organizing committee Al Plan Events. In the European Cup not only tension is offered, but also the young rough diamonds of the ski racing are honed, in order later to collect success as champions in the world cup.
New for 2019, however, is that there will again be a giant slalom on the ERTA slope. Following the successful parallel slalom in recent years, the Organizing Committee and the FIS decided to stage the European Cup race right after the women's World Cup race, also on the World Cup slope ERTA, to give the young ski racers a bit of world cup feelings.
